Faith, Being Sure of What We Hope for
(Heb. 11:1~3)
All people have what they hope for in their hearts.
Whether it is for individuals, families, friends, nations, or citizens, people
have things that they hope for. Dreams and hopes are the driving force that
leads our life. If we move forward with faith by having dreams given by God in
our hearts, God will work for us and grant us grace.
a) People distinguish the difference between good things and bad things.
They keep the good things and get rid of the bad things. When it comes to
thoughts, there are good thoughts and bad thoughts. (Rom. 8:6)
b) Good thoughts are based on faith. Even if we face tiring and difficult
circumstances, we must not fall in despair and believe that God will work for
the good. (Col. 3:2)
2. The visible and the
invisible
a) People who only rely on human eyes make judgments with the visible. So
when they face extreme difficulties, they conclude that things are impossible
and give up. (John 6:5~7)
b) We have the eyes of faith that looks to the invisible. The things that
are prepared by God for us can only be seen with the eyes of faith. (1 Cor.
2:9)
3. Positive faith
a) Faith allows dreams and hopes of hearts come
to pass. Jesus declared forgiveness of sins and healed diseases by looking at
faith. (Matt. 9:2)
b) Even today, God is pleased with those who
come forward with faith. (Heb. 11:5~7)
4. Positive words
a) God created man in His own image. (Gen.
1:27)
b) As spiritual beings, humans can change and
create circumstances with words. (Mark 9:23)
Conclusion
Jesus has given us the grace of the five fold gospel
through the cross. We can enjoy the grace of the five fold gospel through our thoughts,
dreams, faith, and spoken words. The things prepared by God for us can only be
seen with the eyes of faith. Christians must always live in faith.Click here for the Video form of the Message!
